| No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems Concert Review | |
While there had been a 10 minute break between Phil's show and Jamie's show, there was a 20 minute break between Jamie's show and Montgomery Gentry.
The guys took the stage right on time and started out with their rockin' number "All Night Long." The guys are a perfect match for Kenny, and they really got the crowd pumped with their music and energy.
I'm unsure of the title of the second song, but I think it was "Bad For Good." Afterwards it was time to give up the camera and return to my seat.
Before singing "Cold One Coming On" Eddie was talking and saying that they both like to raise a little hell, and while he was talking, Troy was behind him gesturing that he didn't raise hell, that Eddie was the one that raised hell. :D
The guys also played their new single, "My Town" which is from their upcoming album. The song has a "Na na na na na" part in it that reminds me of "Goodbye Earle" by the Dixie Chicks. They also played one more song from their upcoming album called "Hell Yeah," and had us singing along with it.
On "She Couldn't Change Me" Troy said "thanks for making this one of the most requested songs last year." And at the end, instead of saying "She couldn't change me," they said "She couldn't change three." This is in reference to Dale Earnhardt. This is also when I noticed that Eddie had the #3 on his jacket sleeve. Didn't notice that until he pointed at it as he sang that line.
One of the coolest parts was when they sang "Hillbilly Shoes," and I noticed that Troy's guitar (all black) had white lettering around the edges. I couldn't read everything, but part of it said "POW & MIA." When the song was over he turned the guitar so you could see the back, which had the POW/MIA flag logo on it. Very cool.
Here is the full set list:
The third song was their hit "Lonely and Gone." After that they mentioned they were going to be having a new album coming out later this year and the next song was one from the upcoming album. I believe the song was called "One of These Days," and Troy played mandolin on it.
