The first single "You're Right, I Left" is a slow song that you could just close your eyes and imagine him singing this to the girl he can't live without. In the beginning he left and he knew he broke her heart but now he has come back with a vow that he will stay forever. Whether she takes him back or not, he will never blame her for a bad decision because he says "You're right I left, you're right I'm wrong, but you and me baby we belong... you know I couldn't blame your girl if you turned and walked away." Currently making it's way up the Texas Music Charts, "Too Bad I Haven't Met You Yet," is a fun toe-tappin' tune that is perfect for radio airplay. With its catchy chorus of "'Cause it takes so long just to find somebody true, but it's worth the wait for the right one and I'll take my time but until I get to you, I have just one regret - too bad I haven't met you yet," you cannot help but sing along and enjoy. Brought in from his last album, "Good Luck," is about the guy telling his ex-girlfriend that she needs alot of luck trying to find someone that will treat her as good as he did. "You have the charm, the brains and the looks, now all you need is a rabbit's foot," he says in the first verse. This is another song that is heavily played on the radio around Texas. Next up, the title cut, "Hold Your Horses" is yet another catchy and danceable song, only this time it is about a rodeo man whose girl gets tired of waiting for him to hold her. She tells him to "Hold your horses if you can't hold me," and he says "She ties me down when I want to be free." He does not want her telling him what he should and should not do. I always like it when songs mention either Texas, its cities or towns, or any other various places to be found here in this great state so that is why "Back and Forth To Ft. Worth" is so great. The song shows how weird our feelings can be, one minute you want to leave the whole relationship in the dust and another you want to go back to see if it will survive any longer than it already has. Pete Benz, along with producers Bill Cuomo and Beeb Birtles have a five star record on their hands with "Hold Your Horses." Every song on this album was written or co-written by Mr. Benz and I really respect artists that write their own stuff because it means they really are intensely involved with the project. With all of his talent and community service, there is no wonder why there has been a "Pete Benz Day" declared in Austin, twice. Song List:
