| the charts, and his current single, "Rose Bouquet" is sitting at #18 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles Chart.
It's easy to see that Phil not only knows his songwriting, but he is a pretty great singer as well, with a smooth tenor, and a kicky style. That's When I Love You is another upbeat number that is another sure-fire single. "Joe & Rosalita" is another fun tune about two young people in love that go against the norm to have their fun and be together. "Joe's car on Friday night, after the ball game, steam so thick on the windows they could write their names." Phil slows it down with a shuffle called "Six-Pack Summer." Perfect song for a summer drive. "Got the ultra-ray wraparound sunglass vision. Got the sails up iced down a cool ambition, just to relax and let the six-pack summer roll." "Lucky As Me" tells the story of knowing that you are lucky because even though you may not have an expensive car, and your bills are overdue... "I'm lucky as me, oh baby I can't lose I'm on a roll and I owe it all to you. I thank my stars for your love so sweet. Everybody should be lucky as me." Phil wrote all eleven songs on this album, and there are more hits to come from this talented new artist. While his music isn't what you'd consider traditional, I think that the selection of songs here is such that there's something for just about everyone to enjoy. Song List:
