After a slightly lengthy set change, Jessica Andrews entered the stage to sing her pop-tinged country songs. Since she had three CD's out, she was the headliner of the show. Her latest hit single "There's More To Me Than You" opened the show on an uptempo note and was followed up by the uptempo single "Karma." Another single, "You Go First" (the second one from her 1999 debut CD Heart Shaped World) kept the tempo uptempo.
"Sunshine And Love" was performed next followed quickly by the hit singles "Helplessly, Hopelessly" and "Unbreakable Heart." Right after that performance, Jessica talked about her romance with Marcel and invited him up on stage to sing their duet from his CD, "I Won't Hold You Down." Walking up from the same aisle that Craig Morgan ran through, Marcel got on stage and sang the defining moment of Jessica's set. Together they sound like the next "Tim and Faith." "Now I Know" was next and then following that was a cool cover of "Chain Of Fools." Her current single, "Good Time" was next followed by Jessica's final song for the night, her career song and only No. 1 hit, "Who I Am." What remained of the crowd sang along to the hit song from 2001.
Jessica's set was a short one at only 11 songs and I can only guess that she sacrificed some of her stage time so that Marcel could open the show. After the great performances of Dierks Bentley and Craig Morgan, I had hoped that Jessica's show would be as good as theirs but unfortunately, with a majority of mid tempo songs and ballads, Jessica wasn't the best choice for headliner. I liked her set and her performance; it's just that it wasn't as fun as Dierks' or Craig's sets were. Still, all in all for the cost of fair admission and 10 bucks, the show was more than worth the price of admission.
