Lonestar has given us a new Christmas album that will become a favorite for years to come. The album is filled with a mixture of old and new, from classic Christmas carols like "What Child is This," and "O Holy Night," to new ones like "This Christmas Time" co-written by bandmember, Dean Sams.
The album starts out with "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" which will make you want to get up and dance. The following song, "Please Come Home For Christmas" has a very 50's rock and roll sound to it with a bit of the blues. Some of my favorites are "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," which is as classic as it comes, as far as arrangements. Richie sounds terrific here. Another song that is a lot of fun is "Winter Wonderland."
This arrangement has fiddle and steel guitar solos! The final song, "This Christmas Time" is a wonderful new addition to the holiday season. This is an album that will be in my CD player for seasons to come.
Purchase This Christmas Time.
