Top 10 Charts for 2005

NOTE:

Because of the group of people that insist on crashing everyone's polls, I have closed the poll early. It's pointless to have a poll where you can't vote for your favorite artist because someone else wants to make sure you are disqualified by crashing your poll. I've seen the voting happen against "Songs About Me" where the voters were voting for it, and at the same time someone, or several someones were voting against it at 250 or more votes per refresh. That's just ridiculous. I'm just sorry that one group of people or person has to ruin things for everyone that enjoys voting for the sake of winning for your artist honestly.

As I stated last night when "Songs About Me" was being attacked, I warned that I would place "Songs About Me" in the Number One spot on the poll if the people continued to vote against it and crash it. This happened, and so that song is indeed Number One on the Year-End poll for 2005.

"Songs About Me" wasn't the first Trace Adkins song that was crashed maliciously. Earlier in the week, "Arlington" from Trace Adkins was also crashed, in the middle of the night, when the Trace fans were sleeping, so no one could give me any totals that we could start with and add to votes in a new poll.

Later in the week, Shania Twain's poll for "Party for Two" also crashed. No one from her group of voters said anything to me about this, or claimed that someone crashed their poll, and it was shortly after this happened that "Songs About Me" was attacked. The Shania voters and Trace voters have had words between them in the polls on the forum, so I am sure that it was the Shania voters that did this malicious voting. Their artist was disqualified, so they intended for Trace to be disqualified too.

While I can't prove that these fans are the ones that did it, from the bad feelings between the two groups, and the timing of when the attack started, I really believe it to be the Shania voters that did this. Let me also say that there may be some honest Shania voters among the people voting for her song, but you have among you some others who are not honest, so I won't group every Shania voter into the category of dishonest voters, but someone from that group spearheaded this attack on the Trace Adkins songs on the poll.

I like Shania myself and I'm sorry that some person or persons that are voting for her song have to behave so juvenile.

I'm sure I'll get a lot of grief for closing the poll early, but I just am sick of dealing with this crap. I have the whole site to take care of, and this poll is taking up way too much of my time, monitoring poll boxes and seeing if they are being crashed. No one can vote fairly if they have to worry about someone coming in and voting against them on their poll and disqualifying them.

The Top 10 for 2005 is as follows:

  1. Songs About Me, Trace Adkins
  2. Jesus, Take The Wheel, Carrie Underwood
  3. Like We Never Loved At All, Faith Hill
  4. As Good As I Once Was, Toby Keith
  5. I Think The World Needs A Drink, Terri Clark
  6. Georgia Rain, Trisha Yearwood
  7. Honky Tonk U, Toby Keith
  8. Honky Tonk Badonkadonk, Trace Adkins
  9. Kerosene, Miranda Lambert
  10. Something To Be Proud Of, Montgomery Gentry

And in a Place of Honor, I place "Arlington" in a category of its own. It's a shame that it wasn't allowed to be voted on in this poll because of some juvenile behavior of another group of fans.
