"Jimmy's Got a Girlfriend"
(Anthony Smith/Ron Harbin/Richie McDonald)

Amanda and Tyler Wilkinson, lead vocal

Amanda: "There are so many different sounds in this song, I just love it. You can't help but smile when you hear it."

Steve: "Richie McDonald from Lonestar co-wrote it and gave it to us at a festival we were both playing. When our guitar player got off the bus, Richie walked over to him and said, 'Could you give this to the Wilkinsons?' Brian didn't recognize him, and said, 'I can't take that. You'll have to give it to the road manager.'"

Tyler: "We were watching out the window, and when Brian walked back in and said, 'Some guy wanted to give me a tape,' we all yelled, 'That was Richie McDonald!' So we ran out and found him. He was very bashful about it. He said, 'I wrote this song and I think it is perfect for you guys. Tell me what you think.'"

Steve: "We heard it and flipped out. If you're not singing along by the second chorus, there's something wrong with you. And if you don't smile by the end of the song, seek therapy!"

"It Was Only A Kiss"
(Amanda Wilkinson/Tyler Wilkinson/Robin Wiley)

Amanda Wilkinson, lead vocal

Amanda: "Tyler and I wrote this with Robin Wiley, a pop writer who has written for N'Sync. Tyler had just watched the movie The Mummy and came up with the idea. There is a part in the movie where the hero had kissed the heroine, and she tries to pretend it didn't mean anything to her. But she's fumbling around and knocking over things and finally she goes, 'You know, it wasn't that good of a kiss anyway.' Tyler said, 'I don't think it would work in that context, but what if we wrote a song that said, "It was onlly a kiss. Just get over it!""

Tyler: "The funny part was that since the song is from a girl's perspective, every time I would try to interject lines, Amanda and Robin would just look at me and say, 'A girl would never say that.' I thought, 'Well, that's good. At least I know I'm confident in my own masculinity.'"
