MENU Jimmy's Got a Girlfriend ~ It Was Only A Kiss One Of Us Is In Love ~ Till You Let Go Shame On Me ~ Hypothetically 1999 ~ Don't Look At Me Like That I'll Know Love ~ Me, Myself And I The Only Rose | |
Amanda: "My dad co-wrote this song and I think it's cool that he's written so much that he's able to convey the emotions of someone my age. I call this my 'WB' song, because it captures the feeling of teen shows like Time Of Your Life and Felicity. A lot of people my age are sort of wandering around, not knowing what they're looking for. This song lets you know that you are going to make mistakes, but you'll learn from them, and that eventually you will find something that you can hold onto."
Steve: "When I was writing this, I tried to remember what it was like to be a teenager, and all the frustrations that go along with that, especially the desire to not have someone tell me what to do--but instead to make my own mistakes and live my life. It's a little tricky to do that, and keep it believable, but I think we accomplished it with this song."
"My, Myself and I"
Steve: "I had a writing appointment with Charlie Craig and Rob Crosby, and as I was driving I thought, "Here I am coming into town, and I don't have even a hint of an idea." I had been so busy, and was being pulled in so many different directions that I started to wish there were threee of me--like in that movie Multiplicity. Then I thought of the old expression 'me, myself and I' and the song just started to come. By the time I got into town, I had most of the chorus written."
