Lorrie Morgan - Essentials I can remember exactly where I was the first time I heard a Lorrie Morgan song. I was 16 years old and riding home on the school bus with my friends. We were cutting up and then suddenly one of my friends told us all to be quiet and listen to a great new song that was playing on the radio, "Out of Your Shoes." I have been a Lorrie fan ever since.

Lorrie Morgans "RCA Essentials" album is probably my most favorite out of all her albums.

"My Night To Howl," (while not her best song ever) just oozes attitude. I just love the video. And I know all the guys loved seeing her in that black spandex outfit!!!!

"I Guess You Had To Be There" is sure to be a country classic in the years to come. The video features country legend Kris Kristofferson.

"I Didn't Know My Own Strength" is one of my most favorite songs.

"Back In Your Arms" is a light popish type of song. Kind of a modern day version of Brenda Lee's "I'm Sorry."

"Diamonds From A Willow Tree," which was written by Lorrie, is a beautiful song that until this album had not been previously released.

"Candy Kisses" is Lorrie's upbeat remake of her father George Morgan's 1960s country hit.

"From This Moment On" is a duet that Lorrie and her father made.

"Train Wreck Of Emotion" is a great song from Lorrie's "Leave The Light On" album. I love the phrase "I'm Lying In The Rubble Of Cinder Smoke And Ash My Hearts Still Pounding From The Impact Of The Crash."

"Dear Me" is a beautiful sad song that anyone who has ever lost someone they love can relate to.

"Gonna Leave The Light On" is one of my favorite Lorrie songs.

"Autumn's Not That Cold," co-written by Skip Ewing, is a beautiful song that I like to listen to about this time of year. It has really helped me deal with the loss of several members of my family that I was particularly close to.

"War Paint" is one of Lorrie's great attitude songs. I love how she uses the colors of the makeup to represent different emotions. "Red Is For The Anger That You Put Me Through. And For All Those Nights I've Felt Alone You'll See A Shade Of Blue. Add A Dash Of Yellow For The Coward That You've Been. And The Black Will Be The Nights Ahead With My Shadow In Your Bed."
