"No Wrapping Required (A Christmas Album)" is a nice collection of Christmas tunes.

Ricky Skaggs starts the album off with "The Reunion Song," which has a touch of some bluegrass sound to it.

Sonya Isaacs sings three songs: "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)," "What Do You See," and "Mary, Did You Know?" Since I reviewed her debut album "Sonya Isaacs," I have wondered when I could hear some new recordings featuring her and her soothing voice and these three songs were not disappointing. She wrote "What Do You See," which begins with the familiar lyrics of another song, "Said the shepherd boy to the Mighty King. Do you see what I see?" before starting the rest of the song that was written by her.

I could not think of a better artist than Aaron Tippin to sing "Jingle Bell Rock." He sure puts his voice out there in such lyrics as "What a bright time, it's the right time to rock the night away. Jingle Bell time is a swell time to go gliding in a one horse open sleigh."

All three sisters of SHeDAISY take turns singing solo lines in "That's What I Want For Christmas," and of course showing off their harmonizing in the chorus and other various lines. There is a little bit of a jazzy sound to this one and it sounds like something you would hear in an old movie.

An artist I have never really heard before (Kevin Denney) takes his turn by singing "White Christmas." He has a very traditional country voice and it balances the different styles contained on this album. I hope that in the future I can hear more from this artist.

Rascal Flatts try their hand at rearranging "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" to reflect their unique style. I would have to say this is my favorite (non-traditional) version of this song. The guys did a wonderful job on this one.

For the classic country feel, Porter Wagoner sings the Amy Grant and Gary Chapman tune, "Tennessee Christmas," while Kree and Rosie O' Donnell sing and talk their way through "Do You Hear What I Hear?"

Closing the album is newcomer Kortney Kayle singing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" with a soft breathy sounding voice.

It seems as though this year has flown by and the Christmas Season is just around the corner. There has always something about Christmas music that really gets me into a great mood. This album will be playing along with Martina's "White Christmas" nonstop throughout the coming weeks as the weather gets cooler and homes are lit up at night.
