Country 101: Country Tour Dates - Where To Find Who's Playing Where

By Shelly Fabian, About.com

Ok, if you're going through the lessons in order, you've learned about the many different kinds of country music there are. You've brushed up on your country terms with the glossary, and now you're ready to go see some of your favorite stars perform.

Where to see your favorite artists live?

So, you're into country music, and you want to attend some concerts. Other than listening to your local radio station, you can find tour schedules on the Internet for your favorite stars.

Every three months, I update the schedules of most of the more popular artists that are touring. This won't include everyone you might want to see, of course. Also, my information is taken at the beginning of the three months, and artists add dates often. To check and make sure there aren't some dates you missed, you'll want to visit Pollstar. Pollstar offers free notification of tour changes for up to five artists, venues or cities. If you want, you can upgrade for $10.00 to the Premium service where you can receive notices on up to 99 artists, venues or cities.

Even Pollstar doesn't have everyone's dates. For that, it's best to go to the artist's official website. Browse my Country Artists links.
