Finding a Hotel

Now that you have your air/bus/train travel taken care of, or know that you're driving to Nashville, you'll want to find a hotel.

Areas of Nashville

There are several areas where you can find hotels. Keep in mind that the CMA Music Festival is based downtown, so having a hotel downtown would give you the best access to all the action.

Downtown:
Downtown hotels are probably the best location for those going to the CMA Music Festival, as you are within walking distance of several of the venues, plus the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Ryman Auditorium. Hotels considered "downtown" run from 1st - 13th streets east to west, and Spring St. to the north and Demonbreun to the South. Some of the hotels located downtown include Sheraton Downtown, Holiday Inn Express Downtown, Hilton Suites, Renaissance Nashville, Courtyard by Marriott, The Hermitage, Union Station, and the Doubletree Hotel.

West End
Hotels in the West End of town are West of I-65, mainly located on West End Avenue. This area is about two miles from downtown. Some of the hotels here include Holiday Inn Select Vanderbilt, Nashville Mariott Vanderbilt, Loews Vanderbilt, Hampton Inn Vanderbilt, Embassy Suites West End, and Best Western Music Row.

Music Valley/Opryland
The hotels in the Music Valley/Opryland area are close to the Grand Ole Opryhouse and Opry Mills. This area is about 8-10 miles north east of the downtown district. Hotels in this area include the Opryland Resort, Radisson Hotel Opryland, Comfort Inn Music Valley, Country Inn & Suites, and Fiddler's Inn Music Valley.

Airport
The hotels near the airport are of course conveniently close to the airport, and most have free shuttles to/from the airport. This area is about 10-12 miles from downtown Nashville and 2-3 miles from the Music Valley/Opryland area. Hotels in this area include the ClubHouse Inn Nashville Airport, LaQuinta Inn Nashville Airport, Ramada Inn & Suites, Homewood Suites, Sheraton Music City, Baymont Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, and the Drury Inn & Suites Airport.

The Nashville Convention and Visitor's Bureau has several interactive maps to help you find where hotels and venues are at.

Be sure to check out About's Nashville Guide Jan Duke's Hotel Links for more information.

** Former AboutCountry Staff member Penny Rondinella booked her 2004 package through this company and highly recommends them.
I also booked my 2007 package through Country Music Travel and they did a wonderful job.

Camping/RV Parking

There are nearly 800 campsites within 12 miles of Downtown Nashville; an additional 200 sites within 20 miles; and 275 more within 30 miles of Nashville.

The Tennessee State Fairgrounds offers RV parking for the CMA Music Festival attendees at $30 per day. Contact Tennessee State Fairgrounds for RV parking info and to make a reservation, (615) 862-8980.
