Alan Jackson - Drive
Who would have known back in 1989 that when a blond-haired singer hit the country music scene, that he would achieve such a superstar status in a relatively short span of time. Along with Garth Brooks and George Strait, Alan Jackson has continuously put out great tradition sounding country music for the fans to enjoy.
The first single, "Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning)," a moving tribute about the tragic events of September 11th, caused Drive to be released months before it was scheduled, just because of the immense popularity it had on radio. That popularity drove it all the way to a multiple week finish at the number one spot on the Billboard Charts. The second release, "Drive (For Daddy Gene)," has also recently reached the top of the charts and is poised to stay there for awhile.
When you buy an Alan Jackson album, you never have to worry about the quality being lacking or sloppy, as it always has a professional sound and quality of production. All of the songs are traditional and you cannot go wrong having a duet with buddy George Strait on there either ("Designated Drinker").
