How to act at a Meet and Greet

Many country artists have Meet and Greets as part of their fan club benefits. Here are some tips on how to act, so that you and those around you have a pleasant experience.

Difficulty Level: easy      Time Required: 15 minutes.

Here's How:
  1. Some fan clubs require you to sign up for a Meet and Greet. Make sure you do this, if it's required, so you're not disappointed at the concert.
  2. When you arrive, check with the merchandise table to see if the Meet and Greet is scheduled before or after the show.
  3. When it's time to line up for the Meet and Greet, do so in an orderly manner. Don't push and shove others in line.
  4. If you are only allowed either an autograph or picture, make up your mind ahead of time, so you don't slow down the line of fans.
  5. Be polite to the artist, and thank him or her for their time.
  6. Don't try to hog all the artist's time. They allot a certain time for the Meet and Greet, and it's very unfair if one person uses more time than they're allowed..
  7. When you're through the line, think back to the experience. It's one you'll surely remember always.
Tips:
  1. These are just general tips. Be sure to go by your particular fan clubs rules on how the Meet and Greet is handled.
  2. Do enjoy your meeting with the artist, but try to remember, they're only human like you and me. Try your best not to scream, even though you are really excited.
  3. The best pen to use for autographs is a Sharpie made by Sanford.
