Suzy Bogguss - Aces
While this album wasn't Suzy's first (it was actually her third), it was and still is one of her best. The title track, plus "Letting Go," and "Outbound Plane" all were Top 10 hits for her, (No. 9, No. 6, and No. 9, respectively.) Plus the other single, "Someday Soon" went to No. 12.
Suzy had help from Vince Gill, Beth Nielsen Chapman and Mark O'Connor on this strong outing, with Vince and Beth singing background vocals and Mark O'Connor playing mandolin on "Someday Soon." Suzy also got help from the then unknown Victoria Shaw ("The River," "I Love The Way You Love Me," and "She's Every Woman.") with the beautiful song, "Music on the Wind." Victoria wrote the song and sings background vocals along with Vince.
All in all, this is a must-have album for any country fan. Suzy's got one of the purest voices in country music, and this album shows it off at its best.
