Guide Review
Alan Jackson - The Greatest Hits Collection
In 1989, there was an influx of new artists that helped usher in country music's biggest growing spurt. They were called the "Class of '89." Alan Jackson was the second of the "Class of '89" to release a Greatest Hits CD, with Garth Brooks being the first. The twenty tracks represented on this collection are all of Alan's top hits. In fact, most of these songs were Top Ten singles at Billboard Magazine with many of them being No. 1 hits.

The best of the songs are "Home," "Midnight In Montgomery," "Gone Country," "Chasin' That Neon Rainbow" and "Dallas." While Alan usually writes most of his hits, he also likes to record some of his favorite songs from the past, and they are represented here. The songs are George Jones' and Roger Miller's "Tall, Tall Trees," "Summertime Blues" and "Mercury Blues."

With almost all of Alan Jackson's best songs from the early 1990's, this is one collection of songs that every Alan Jackson fan should have. It also is a good CD to have if you just love great country music.
