BR549 - This is BR549
Gary and the boys are back! Steel guitar, bass, twang and all! BR549 which took their name from the Hee Haw shows popular skit featuring Junior Samples have come a long way from their days as a bar band at Nashvilles "Roberts," when someone offered them twenty-five dollars for every Hank Williams song they could perform, and wound
up handing over six hundred bucks, to their opening several tour dates this summer for the wildly popular George Strait festival.
BR549 is a band that is tottering on the edge of a music revolution that is occurring in country music. In a time of country music pop star wanna-be singer and cute boy bands, they are neither. They are a bunch of guys playing the traditional honky tonk style country music that they love.
This is BR549s sixth album, and is their best yet! From the opening twangy chords of "Too Lazy To Work, Too Nervous To Steal," to the social consciousness of their cover of Anne Murray's "A Little Good News," this album is a must have for any BR549 fan.
