Sawyer Brown - Can You Hear Me Now
Sawyer Brown has been with the Curb label for their entire 20-year career. They signed with Curb right after winning the Grand Prize on the Star Search program and they are still there. Six of the ten tracks were written or co-written by Mark Miller. It is a fun album, and the fact that all of the band members have their own unique interests off the road ensures that their music stays continually fresh.
The title track of "Can You Hear Me Now" was released as the first single and has enjoyed airplay around the country. It is great continuing to hear new music from Sawyer Brown on the airwaves. "I Need A Girlfriend" is a title to make you raise your eyebrows, but they simply ask why you don't bestow "girlfriend privileges" on your wife. It keeps the relationship fresh and fun. "Circles" was a good song with a message. It talked about all the circles in life.
Sawyer Brown has always been a favorite group of mine since I saw them on Star Search. They have continued to release great music, and this CD is no exception. I think each song would hold it's own as a single release. This is a great album from start to finish.
