Clay Walker - Clay Walker
Hailing from the same small Texas town that produced George Jones, Mark Chesnutt, Tracy Byrd, Doug Supernaw and Curtis Day, Clay Walker emerged on the scene in a big way with his smash hit debut single, "What's It To You." Hitting the No. 1 spot, Clay soon followed with another smash No. 1 hit with "Live Until I Die."
Breaking his string of number one's was the nice ballad "Where Do I Fit In The Picture." While it "only" made the top 11, the song is still know as one of his best that he's ever done. The fourth single was "White Palace." While it barely made the Top 40, the song did allow Clay to show a fun side.
The biggest hit off the CD almost didn't happen at all. "Dreaming With My Eyes Wide Open" wasn't gonna be a single but after being attached to the movie Thing Called Love the song was released. Another No. 1 hit, this track, along with the other hits make Clay Walker's debut record one of the best to be released in the 1990s.
