Lorrie Morgan - Color of Roses
Lorrie has long said that a project she really wanted to do was a Live concert recording. In late 2001, she did just that. The end result is called, The Color of Roses, and it was released both on DVD and on CD. This multi-media release from Image Entertainment is a must have for any country music fan.
Lorrie Morgan grew up on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry. She is perfectly at ease on the stage and has an ability to draw the audience into her shows. The DVD offers a complete "Live" concert and her fans will not be disappointed. She sings many of her hits plus she covers several American Standards, such as "Fly Me To The Moon." She has the ability to be full of sass one minute while asking, "What Part of No" don't you understand? In the next minute she is every inch the elegant lady while she sings a song such as "My Favorite Things." She also shows the fans her great sense of style with three costume changes during her show.
Along with the great live show, the DVD also offers a few extras. You can hear an exclusive interview with Lorrie on a variety of subjects. You can see the room in her home where several of her awards and special memorabilia from her career are displayed. There are also two audio tracks that are studio cuts of "Help Me Make It Through The Night" and "The Color of Roses." This is a project that has been done very well. You are taken to a concert without leaving the comfort of your home.
