Collin Raye - Extremes
After making a name for himself as a balladeer with hits like “Love, Me” and “In This Life,” Collin Raye chose Extremes to show the world he was made of much more. The first release titled “That’s My Story,” written by Lee Roy Parnell, was anything but a ballad. “To The Border And Beyond,” and “My Kind Of Girl” kept up that fast pace.
The greatest songs on the CD however, were much slower. “Little Rock,” a heart wrenching song about a recovering alcoholic, and “Dreaming My Dreams With You,” a song previously recorded by the great Waylon Jennings, are still two of the finest songs Collin Raye has ever recorded.
If you are shopping for someone who likes fast and fun country or great love songs, this is a good choice. Extremes is Collin Raye is at his best, and a must have for any country music fan.
