Diamond Rio - One More Day
Originally set to be released in October of 2000 as Stuff. The guys decided to wait until their label Arista was fully merged into RLG Nashville, also home to BNA and RCA records. I'm glad they did. It allowed time for Diamond Rio to go back into the studio and record their smash hit and title track, "One More Day."
While "Stuff" failed at radio, it is still a fun song. "I'm Already Gone" written by label mate Phil Vassar, is such a great song it is probably the fifth single after the toe tapping fourth single, "That's Just That."
"I'm Trying" written by Darrell Scott ("It's A Great Day To Be Alive), it is a beautiful duet with Chely Wright. Chely's voice blends in well with the Diamond Rio harmonies. "Hearts Against The Wind" is a great bluegrass staple. Diamond Rio shows their musicianship here. With the complete mix of Bluegrass, soft and gentle ballads, and the up-tempo rocking tunes, you get a real sense of what Diamond Rio is all about.
