Diamond Rio - Unbelievable
With each successive CD released, Diamond Rio manages to continue to enhance their core sound while staying true to their country roots. With their 6th CD, Diamond Rio has kept their Bluegrass harmonies and top notch instrumental abilities intact. However, for the first time ever in their career, they have some outside help on the instrumental part of "I Know How The River Feels." The band used the "Nashville String Machine" to enhance the sound of the tender ballad.
The first single was the Top 10 smash hit, "Your Gone." A little different than other Diamond Rio singles, "You're Gone" is one of the best showcases for the whole band's sound. The fun "Unbelievable," written by Jeffrey Steele, was another Top 10 hit single. Some other fun tracks are the rollicking "Two Pump Texaco," "Hold Me Now" and the longish (for Country Music) "(I Will) Start Over Again."
While there are only two hit singles on the CD, there is enough here to keep even the average fan entertained. I suggest this CD to anyone who loves a group who has tight vocal harmonies and top notch musicianship
