Fly - Dixie Chicks

Dixie Chicks
Fly
Guide Rating -
Pros • Beautiful slow songs.
• Toe-tapping fast songs.
• Great harmonies.
Cons "Hole in My Head" is a good song, but it sounds more Rock and Roll than Country.
The Bottom Line - If you like their first album, Wide Open Spaces, and want more of that high feeling, high energy, spunk, and touching moments that nobody else but the Chicks could pull off, you should pick up Fly.

Product Description
Second album released with Natalie as lead singer.
A whopping eight singles released.
As always, excellent musicianship.

Guide Review
Dixie Chicks - Fly
Despite the daunting task of recording their sophomore album and hoping they would at least match the success of Wide Open Spaces, the gals really knocked one out of the ballpark with "Fly."

"Ready to Run," was the first single released and was also featured in the "Runaway Bride" movie and Soundtrack, while the second single was "Cowboy Take Me Away," a touching tune that was written by Martie for her sister Emily and her soon-to-be-husband Charlie Robison.

Other singles released thus far include: the controversial "Goodbye Earl," a happy upbeat "Some Days You Gotta Dance," the tender "Without You," and the latest to hit the charts, "Heartbreak Town," a story about growing up and getting away from the parents so that you can build your own family.
