George Strait - Strait Out Of The Box
Released in 1995, “Strait Out of the Box” is a truly comprehensive collection of songs spanning 20 years. It includes all 31 of his number one hits, 11 more chart singles of great musical impact, 19 LP tracks, and 11 more rare tracks that are anything but leftovers.
Disc one contains songs from the early years, including the hit “Unwound,” that went to number 3 on the charts and kicked Strait’s career into overdrive. Disc two is my favorite with songs like “The Chair," “Right Or Wrong,” and “Famous Last Words Of A Fool.” Disc Three divides its space between ballads and honky tonk numbers, with some comedy and some bracing Western swing. Disc four is all nineties material, including the songs from the “Pure Country” soundtrack.
You don’t often find this much true talent all in one place making “Strait Out of the Box” a must have for any George Strait fan.
