Hank Williams - Alone With His Guitar
The man they call Hank Williams had a very brief recording career from the years 1948 to
1952. In those few years however with the raw emotion of his written words and vocals he
revolutionized music.
If Hank Williams had not been a songwriter, all we would have of his music is a few studio recordings and "live" performances. Recording in his time was done on expensive acetate-coated aluminum discs. If it had not been for the fact that home recording on acetate, wire and tape was gaining popularity generations to come would be deprived of hearing Hank as he really was.
I can honestly say that I have been listening to Hank Williams music all my life but I have never really "heard" it until I slid this CD into my player.
