Birdee goes back home with her young daughter in tow to her eccentric mother and tries to pick up the pieces in a town where everyone can't help but rub it in her face that she's not perfect. She's never had a job, so she goes to the employment agency to get a job in a photo shop printing out One-Hour Photos. Into her life again is Justin Matisse (Harry Connick Jr.) who has always had a crush on her and would like to help her pick up the pieces.

A wonderful love story as Birdee finds love in places she never expected.
