Jo Dee Messina - Jo Dee Messina
In 1996 Jo Dee Messina released her debut single "Heads Carolina, Tails California." Watching that song quickly becoming a big hit, Jo Dee began to live a dream she had shared with her friend Tim McGraw. After he hit it big, he agreed to co-produce her album while also helping her sign to his label Curb Records.
Shortly after "Carolina" was a hit Jo Dee released her second single "You're Not In Kansas Anymore," which quickly became Jo Dee's second Top 10 hit. However, those were the only big hits released from this uneven album. There were two other singles sent to radio. The songs were "He'd Never Seen Julie Cry" and "Do You Wanna Make Something Of It."
While the album is uneven in it's song selection, production and vocals, it does showcase the fiery talent that lied within Jo Dee that was realized on her second, and first platinum album, I'm Alright. This CD is a good addition to any collector's collection, especially Jo Dee Messina fans.
