Lonestar - Lonestar
Released in 1997 Lonestar was the second and final CD to feature the original Lonestar members. John Rich saw the writing on the wall when all but one single released from their debut featured his vocals, ("Heart Broke Every Day"). He and the rest of the band split with John now pursuing his own career, as a solo act. Now with Richie McDonald singing all by himself, the band was able to forge an identity with radio and fans.
Featuring two Billboard No. 1 singles with "Everything's Changed," and "Say When," the Lonestar CD also features a Top 10 single with "Come Cryin' To Me." What makes this CD enjoyable from start to finish are the uptempo tracks that Lonestar was know for prior to their mega ballads like "Amazed" and "I'm Already There." One of the coolest songs on the CD is "You Walked In." Written By rocker Bryan Adams and Shania Twain's husband R.J. "Mutt" Lange, the song is an ode to beautiful women everywhere and was also a Top 30 hit At Billboard.
If you like Lonestar but don't really know what they sounded like before "Amazed," then you should check out this CD. The best way to describe this CD is to say it is a "bridge" from their uptempo beginnings to the ballads they are known for now.
