Guide Review
Various Artists - O Brother Where Art Thou
The movie was a modest hit. The soundtrack to it becomes one of those grass roots examples of people seeking out some great music that doesn't have a chance at radio. So successful this CD was that it has spawned a tour and live companion CD. Some have gone as far to hail it as "a return to roots music."

The 'true' lead vocalist for "I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow" is not actor George Clooney but is in fact Dan Tyminski of Alison Krauss' Union Station band. Yes, ladies and gentlemen that means George Clooney didn't sing in O Brother Where Art Thou?". However, fellow actor Tim Blake Nelson does sing the song "In The Jailhouse Now" on the soundtrack and in the movie. Alison Krauss, Gillian Welch, Ralph Stanley, and Emmylou Harris are featured on the CD.

When looking around for that right CD to buy, pick up this great CD. You'll be glad you did. If looking for a different and unique gift to give, this CD will satisfy even the fussiest of fans.
