Toby Keith - Pull My Chain
"Pull My Chain" is Toby Keith's latest release and it comes on the heels of his highly successful "How Do You Like Me Now!?" album, which produced two number one songs and his very first awards (two: Top Male Vocalist and Album of the Year). With a total of thirteen top ten singles and five gold or platinum albums in only six years makes a person wonder why he was overlooked for all of those award shows that take place.
"I'm Just Talking About Tonight" is Toby's highest debuting single ever, and is also the first tune
released from "Pull My Chain." The second single is called "I Wanna Talk About Me," which sounds like a
souped up version of "Getcha Some."
Nobody can sing a ballad quite the way Toby Keith does, as proven on the beautiful slow songs,
"Yesterday's Rain," and "You Didn't Have As Much to Lose." His low voice seems perfectly suited to every song he performs and hitting an unexpected high note seems easy and comfortable. Though there are ballads,
the entire album still reminds me of Toby's whole "I'm gonna do what I'm gonna do and nobody tells me
otherwise" philosophy.
