Trisha Yearwood - Where Your Road Leads
This album contains a majority of ballads, however there are some up-tempo songs as well, all easy on the ears. It's easy to see how she received the distinction of being names the Queen of Country Music back in 1998 by Salon Magazine, but it's not a title she's comfortable with. But it's one that's well earned, seeing that she won the "triple crown" receiving CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, the ACM Top Female Vocalist, and the Grammy for Best Female Vocalist.
"I'll Still Love You More" is a Diane Warren penned tune. She also was the writer of "How Do I Live," which won Trisha a Grammy in 1998. This one's another winner. Other ballads include "Never Let You Go Again," "I Don't Want To Be The One," and the duet with Garth.
There are still several upbeat pieces here, and Trisha does them just as wonderfully as she does the ballads. "Powerful Love" is an infectious sing-along song, while "That Ain't The Way I Heard It" is sassy and bold, while "There Goes My Baby" has me tapping my toes and singing along every time. Fast or slow, you can't go wrong with anything by Trisha Yearwood, and this is one of her best albums.
