Chely came out singing a song from her new album, Never Love You Enough called "Wouldn't It Be Cool." She was dressed in low cut denims that looked like she was wearing chaps, and a jean jacket and red top underneath. Her hair is lighter than it used to be, and it was fairly straight, rather than wavy, like it was in the "Jezebel" video.
She followed it up with my favorite Chely song, "Shut Up And Drive," from her Let Me In album. The majority of the songs she performed were from her new album, and this song, along with "It Was," and "Single White Female," were the only songs she played from her older albums. I kinda wished she would have sung a few more of the older songs, and although I do like her new album, the older stuff is great to hear too.
Chely asked the crowd about half way through her show if we were ready for Brad Paisley. Everyone yelled to the affirmative. She said "That hurts!" Then she grinned and said, "Well, you're not gonna get him cuz we're not done out here yet."
Before she sang "Jezebel," she said she wanted to thank everyone for making the video for the song #1 already, and for making the video "Never Love You Enough" #1 for 50 days straight. She then sang that as well.
I was kind of disappointed that Brad didn't come out and sing "Hard To Be a Husband, Hard To Be a Wife" with Chely, but figured maybe she'd come out on his show.
Here is her set list:
