| Trisha Yearwood Concert Review | |
|
Trisha Yearwood is one of my favorite female artists, and as such, I try to see her in concert whenever I can. This last concert was my 8th time seeing her, making her my most frequently seen artist in any genre of music.
Trisha played the Konocti Harbor Resort in Kelseyville, CA on February 17, 2002. Opening for her was Relentless recording artist Irene Kelly.
Irene performed with only her guitar to accompany her. She has a really pretty voice, and she writes all her own music, and has written songs that have been recorded by many popular artists, including Loretta Lynn, Ricky Skaggs, Trisha Yearwood, and most recently Alan Jackson. Her song "A Little Bluer Than That" was included on Alan's double-platinum selling album, Drive.
Irene's set list is listed below:
Irene mentioned that Trisha had a song she'd written on her latest album, Inside Out. That song is "Second Chance." She also said Trisha recorded a song of hers a while back, and she said she'd like to sing it. That song was "O Mexico," from Trisha's Thinkin' About You album.
Irene's part of the show was enjoyable. She has a really pretty voice, and she writes some interesting songs. Her set lasted about 45 minutes, and then there was a 20 minute intermission between the shows.
