This was my second trip to Las Vegas this year to see a country concert. The last time I was in town I saw Mark Wills.
This was also my first trip in a long time with a car. I needed it since I was attending two concerts that weren't at the hotel where I was staying. After landing, I picked up my car and drove over to the Las Vegas Hilton to get my tickets from the box office, and scope out just where the theater was. I must say, the Hilton is a HUGE place, and it would be really easy to get lost. Luckily, this wasn't the case for me, and I found the ticket office, and after a bit of walking around found where the theater was for that night. That done, I left to go check into my hotel, Boulder Station.
I gotta tell you, I have no fondness for driving at night, and driving at night in a place I wasn't totally familiar with was even less of a favorite thing for me. But for Reba, I bit the bullet and it really wasn't bad at all. I had created maps online and printed them out, so I was set. The concert started at 9:00 pm, and I was there around 7:30, so I went to play the slots for a short bit as the doors wouldn't open 'til 8:00 pm.
There was a long line of people waiting to get into the theater as 8:00 pm approached, so I went to join them. There was a merchandise booth set up on the right as you entered, but I was on the left, so I couldn't get over to see what was there as I entered the theater.
My seat was in the 5th row, and I was real happy with it. The theater itself had stairs going up the middle, and there were platforms on either side for the drums and a piano. While we waited for the show to begin, music was playing over the speakers. Don't know if Reba picked the music or not, but it was Steve Wariner.
