Did you ever think you'd see the day when forensic science made country recordings possible? Well, that day is here, and it is through this technology that makes possible the joining of previous recordings of Patsy Cline with the voices of some of today's country artists.
To do this, producer Michael Blakey had to extract Patsy's vocals from mono recordings, and combine them with new orchestration, and the present day recordings. From this process the first of three new volumes of music will be released. The first volume will be released on September 14th. Private I Records is currently producing the project, and the album will be distributed by Island-Mercury Music Group. The project has the blessing of Patsy's husband, Charlie Dick who says, "Fantastic. We wish Patsy could hear this. This is how Patsy wanted the records to sound. The amazing quality of her voice, along with the outstanding production, makes this record sound like it was recorded only yesterday." The album line-up has been released, and I've listed below the songs and duet partners.
