line Weekend in Las Vegas with Toby, Cledus, Trisha and keith
line

Cledus T. Judd is someone who excels in parodies of country music hits. He's done them using hits from some of the biggest stars around, including Toby Keith, Chad Brock, Travis Tritt, Faith Hill, Brad Paisley, and Kenny Chesney. While I love his videos and his albums, I thought his show could have been a bit more visual. He doesn't have a band, so he played his songs on the loudspeakers and sang along with them. He started his show at 7:10 pm, which was a bit late, but then most shows are late in starting, so that's nothing new. His first song was of course, the parody of Toby Keith's "How Do You Like Me Now?!" which Cledus has named "How Do You Milk A Cow?"

In between songs, Cledus would tell some jokes, and while nothing was "R" rated humor, some of it was PG-13, which I found a bit odd, seeing it was an early show. But there wasn't anything really offensive, just a bit suggestive here and there.

Here is his set list:

  • How Do You Milk a Cow? ("How Do You Like Me Now?!" - Toby Keith)

  • More Beaver ("Me Neither" - Brad Paisley)
  • I Can Smell Your Breath ("Breathe" - Faith Hill)
  • She Got Half ("She Said Yes!" - Chad Brock)
  • Great Day To Be a Guy ("Great Day To Be Alive" - Travis Tritt)
  • My Cellmate Thinks I'm Sexy ("She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" - Kenny Chesney)

Cledus puts on a decent show, but I'd rather watch his videos.

Between the shows, the roadies tossed out large black Toby Keith beach balls. But the wind was too much and it kept blowing them back to the backstage area. So they just gave up to the dismay of the audience members, who probably all wouldn't have minded keeping one of the large beachballs.

Toby came on about 8:10 pm, and started the show with the title cut off his new album, "Pull My Chain."

He followed that with his recent hit "Country Comes To Town." The crowd was on their feet and dancing along with the music.

Toby doesn't talk a whole lot in between songs, but then he doesn't stand there and sing either. He moves from side to side of the stage, so everyone can get to see him.

Here is the full set list from the show:

Some of the things I remember are when Toby started out "A Little Less Talk (And a Lot More Action)," he shouted out "A Little Less Talk," and the audience responded with "And a Lot More Action." Also, I believe it was on "How Do You Like Me Now?!" Cledus T. Judd came back on stage and danced with the band members.

Toby gives a heck of a show with a lot of great songs, and he has charisma to spare. I'd definitely see him again, and hopefully I wouldn't have a girl dancing in front of me for the entire show. ;)
