Feather Falls Casino is a venue I'm getting quite familiar with. In the past year I have seen Sara Evans & Eric Heatherly, Collin Raye, Rascal Flatts, and Clay Walker.
This was my first time seeing both Tracy Byrd and Mark Chesnutt. Both play traditional country music, and there were many people dressed in western clothing with hats, boots and jeans, throughout the theater.
The theater holds approximately 2500 people with a main floor and balcony area. None of the seats are more than 90 feet from the stage, so it's a very intimate place. For this show I had a fourth row seat on the left side of the stage.
The show was scheduled to start at 8:00 pm, and the doors opened at 7:00 pm. I arrived around 7:30, and made my way to my seat. It seemed that many of the people had also decided to come closer to show time as half the floor seats remained to be filled when I arrived. This show had assigned seats, and that probably dictated the arrival time. When I've been to shows that were general admission, people were lined up outside the theater at 6:10 pm for the 7:00 pm opening of the venue. And the seats filled quickly, so that by 7:30, the theater is mostly full. On this night, the theater was packed by showtime, and the crowd was ready to party!
