The Big Men of Country Tour consists of Dreamworks Recording artist, Darryl Worley and Capitol Recording artist, Trace Adkins. Both men fit the bill, measuring in at 6'6" each.

Darryl Worley opened the show with "Good Day To Run," and then moved into a song from his newest album (I Miss My Friend), called "The Least That You Can Do."

Darryl then said he was gonna change things around, which was his perogative. He then sang a great cover of Merle Haggard's "Workin' Man Blues." Next another song from I Miss My Friend, called "I Built This Wall." Following this song, Darryl asked if anyone had a copy of his first album. There was some scattered applause. He joked, well, most of you won't recognize this next one, then. Then, he played the title track, "Hard Rain Don't Last."

"Second Wind" was next, and after Darryl was through, he said that the song didn't hit No. 1, but he always felt it was a number one song. To this he got a lot of applause. He then remarked "Well, even if it wasn't a number one on the charts, it was number one in a lot of people's hearts, and that's what counts to me." I know this was one of Darryl's favorites from the debut album, so I'm not surprised to hear him say this. The song peaked at 20 on the Billboard singles charts.

Darryl told us "Ok, now it's time for the swinging part of the show." Then he said.. "Uh, wait a minute, I forgot where I was.. that's Texas Swing!" He got some chuckles at that. Then, he asked if there was any room in the back to get up and dance, and encouraged people to dance to the next song. He then joked "Watch security come up and pull me off the stage for that." He then sang one of my favorite songs from his debut album, "Too Many Pockets." Continuing in the "swing" mode, he sang a cover of George Strait's "Right or Wrong."

Darryl asked if anyone had his new album, to which he got several people clapping. He told us that that was ok, cuz we could buy a copy of it at the souvenir stand. ;) Then, he sang another song from it called "Back Where I Belong."

Next, he sang a two-song medley of covers, "El Paso," and "Cherokee Maiden." Before singing the next song, he thanked everyone again for coming, and said the next song started it all, and proceeded to sing "When You Need My Love."

Darryl's newest single, "Family Tree" came next, which everyone sang along with. The final song was his first No. 1, which he thanked everyone for helping make that happen, and sang "I Miss My Friend." Again, many of the people sang along with this touching song. After the song was over, Darryl got a standing ovation as he left the stage.

I really enjoyed Darryl's show. He's got some great music and he interacts well with the audience. He mentioned that he had one more show this year, and then he was going to be going to Bosnia during the holidays to entertain the troops. This was another thing he got applause for. He said he's got so much from his music that he wants to give back.
