I had some misty memories as the plane landed in Vegas, and instantly my mind went back to an August night last year when I made my last visit to Vegas to see Garth Brooks.

This visit would be different in that I was going to be staying downtown, which is where the Fremont Street Experience is located. I stayed at Fitzgeralds. I had planned to see several other country artists on my visit, but I wasn't able to do so. The concerts are held on a stage that is set up in the street and there isn't a chair in site, and my feet told me I needed to go sit down for a while after standing for 2 hours.

He did two shows, but I only caught the second one at 8:00 pm, cuz I didn't even get checked into the hotel til around 5. So, I got something to eat and then headed out to the Experience. As I walked out on the street, I saw this huge tree, all decorated for Christmas. The crowd was already building as I arrived at the stage area about 45 minutes before the show was to start.

The night was rather cold, in the low 40's, and I was really glad I remembered my coat. About 10 minutes before the concert was to begin, Chad's band took the stage. I remember them having a circular heating unit on the stage, and a couple of them stood in front of it warming their hands.
