Guide Review
Alabama - For The Record: 41 Number One Hits
For The Record - 41 Number One Hits is Alabama’s biggest greatest hits CD to date. Ok, maybe they weren’t all number one hits. I know a few only made it to #2 or #3, but that is beside the point. There’s no doubt that these are the finest songs ever to be recorded by this southern band.

How could this CD go wrong? Alabama’s ongoing success is the direct result of songs like “Mountain Music,” “If You Are Gonna Play In Texas (You Gotta Have A Fiddle In The Band)” and “Forty Hour Week” which have been popular for years. Then you have the ballads that have been favorites to many country listeners for the last two decades. For instance, “Lady Down On Love,” “Feel So Right” and “Love In The First Degree” are still heard on radios today.

Not many acts have stayed so popular twenty years after they started. Forty-one number one hits (or almost) makes this set the definitive Alabama package. So, if you like country music at all, this CD should be a part of your collection.
