Top Picks - Brooks & Dunn's Neon Circus Tour
Brooks & Dunn's Neon Circus Tour is off on its second year with all new acts as well as a circus sideshow. Whether you're planning on seeing the tour, or already have, chances are you may want to pick up some additional music from the Neon Circus artists. Below I've compiled at least one album from each of them.

1) Steers & Stripes - Brooks & Dunn
This album is packed with great music for the country music lover. It has songs that make you want to get up and dance, and songs that you can relax with. It is an album that is easy to listen to all the way through.

2) Greatest Hits Collection - Brooks & Dunn
Brooks and Dunn are country music's reigning duo, having won the CMA Duo award a record nine times. The music on this album is the reason for that distinction with twelve number one songs of the sixteen that were previously released.

3) dwightyoakamacoustic.net - Dwight Yoakam
While not received well commercially, there is no doubt this disc is the best showcase for Dwight's considerable talents as a singer, guitarist, and songwriter. Of the 25 tracks on the disc, Dwight wrote (or co-wrote) every one of them with the sole exception of the Pomus/Shuman standard, "Little Sister."

4) Hillbilly Deluxe - Dwight Yoakam
With his second album release, Dwight was ready to get out and prove himself as a real force to be reckoned with in the music biz. With a handful of self-penned songs and a few widely diverse covers, Dwight was prepared to show that his success as a "Honky-Tonk Man" was no accident, and he well deserved the "Best New Male Artist" that the ACM had presented him the year before.

5) Alright Guy - Gary Allan
Gary Allan gets better with each album that he releases. "Alright Guy" runs the gamut from songs about heartbreak and love ("The One") to songs about getting drunk, ripping his pants, and dancing with the bouncer that asked him to leave ("I'm Doing My Best"). He is doing his part to keep male country music alive and doing a mighty fine job too.

6) Smoke Rings In The Dark - Gary Allan
From the opening title track to the touching closing song, "Greenfields," "Smoke Rings In The Dark" is a great collection of songs that you will find in your CD rotation constantly. Some of the highlights include the fifties pop sound of "Sorry," the masterful remake of the 60's classic, "Runaway," and the honest "Lovin' You Against My Will."

7) Play It Loud - Chris Cagle
This album was released first on the now defunct Virgin Nashville, and then again on the Capitol Nashville label with two additional songs. The first single, "My Love Goes On and On" cracked the Top 20, and the next, "Laredo" went all the way to No. 8, but it was the third "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out," which topped the charts. The latter song was one of the two new songs on the re-release.

8) Trick Pony - Trick Pony
Trick Pony is a unique name for a unique group that produces a unique, high energy sound. It is made up of Heidi Newfield, Ira Dean and Keith Burns. All three share the duties of lead vocals, write their own music, and all play instruments.

9) Another Day in Parodies - Cledus T. Judd
Cledus T. Judd is one of the best at musical parody, and this album is no exception. This is Cledus' first release since coming over to Sony from the small label "Razor and Tie," and he's chosen songs by fellow label-mates, the Dixie Chicks and even mentions Billy Ray Cyrus and Billy Gilman in another original song.
