The Country Music Association Awards are the most prestigious of all the awards a country music artist can aquire. If an album or artist or song won a CMA award, you can be sure the music is some of the best the industry has to offer. The albums below are from award winning artists and groups from the 2001 CMA Awards.

1) O Brother, Where Art Thou - Various
The soundtrack from the movie of the same name won the 2001 CMA Album of the Year award, and "I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow" received the 2001 CMA Single of the Year award. Plus two other songs were also nominated in the Vocal Event category. A wonderful introduction to traditional and bluegrass music.

2) Pull My Chain - Toby Keith
Toby Keith won 2001 CMA Male Vocalist, and this is his most recent album, with the hits, "I'm Just Talking About Tonight," and "I Wanna Talk About Me."

3) Born To Fly - Sara Evans
Sara Evans won the 2001 Video of the Year for the title track. The album also contains the hits "Saints and Angels," and "I Could Not Ask For More."

4) I Hope You Dance - Lee Ann Womack
Lee Ann Womack won the 2001 CMA Female Vocalist Award. The title cut won the 2000 CMA for Song and Single of the Year. Also included on this album are "Why They Call It Falling," "Ashes By Now," and "Does My Ring Burn Your Finger."

5) Steers & Stripes - Brooks & Dunn
Brooks & Dunn recaptured the CMA Duo award in 2001, after relinquishing it to Montgomery Gentry last year. They do so with this album, with two No. 1 hits, "Ain't Nothin' 'Bout You," and "Only In America."

6) I'm Already There - Lonestar
The fifth time was the charm for Lonestar. After being nominated for four previous years, they finally took the 2001 CMA Vocal Group award with this album, I'm Already There. The title track was a multi-week No. 1 hit, and was nominated for Song and Single of the year for 2001 as well.

7) Latest Greatest Straitest Hits - George Strait
"Murder on Music Row," one of the two new songs from this release won the 2001 CMA Song of the year. This album contains songs from Lead On, Blue Clear Sky, Carrying Your Love With Me, and One Step At A Time. Also includes the hit "The Best Day."

8) keith urban - keith urban
keith urban, former lead singer for The Ranch released this solo album in 1999. He win the 2001 CMA Horizon award. The album contains the No. 1 hit, "But For The Grace of God," as well as "Where The Blacktop Ends," "Your Everything," and "It's a Love Thing."

9) Set This Circus Down - Tim McGraw
Tim McGraw has won the CMA Male Vocalist of the Year several years, but until 2001, the Entertainer of the Year award eluded him. This album contains "The Cowboy in Me," "Grown Men Don't Cry," and "Angry All The Time."

10) Part II - Brad Paisley
Brad Paisley won the 2001 CMA Vocal Event award for "Too Country," which he recorded with Bill Anderson, George Jones, and Buck Owens. The album also contains the hits, "Wrapped Around," and "Too People Fell in Love."
