 |
|
Garth Brooks first came on the scene in 1989, and kicked down the doors for everyone that has followed. He brought country music to a larger audience with albums that debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200 Album charts as well as the country charts. Add to that the fact that he sold in the multimillions (currently over 102 million sold), and performed in Central Park to over a quarter of a million people.

1.) No Fences - Garth Brooks
This is Garth's second release, which was originally released in 1990, and had four singles, now five, if you count the updated version of "Wild Horses." The original singles were "The Thunder Rolls," "Two of a Kind, Workin' on a Full House," "Friends in Low Places," and "Unanswered Prayers."

2.) Scarecrow - Garth Brooks
This is Garth's 2001 released, said to be his last solo album. It's packed full of classic "Garth," with songs that make you think, ("The Storm") songs that make you want to get up and dance, ("Rodeo or Mexico,"), and duets with George Jones, ("Beer Run"), and Trisha Yearwood, ("Squeeze Me In.")

3.) In Pieces - Garth Brooks
This album has to be Garth's most heavily rock-influenced. With the upbeat "Standing Outside The Fire," and "Ain't Going Down 'Til The Sun Comes Up," to the bluesy "Kickin' and Screamin'." Add to the mix the in-your-face feel of "Red Strokes," and Billy Joel-ish "One Night A Day." The 2000 release has the added track, "Anonymous."
