In 2002, country music played a large part of the Grammy Awards show with the "O Brother Where Art Thou" Soundtrack taking the general "Album of the Year" award as well as the Country Album Award. The albums below are from award winning artists and groups from the 2002 Grammy Awards.

 |
1) O Brother, Where Art Thou - Various
This is the soundtrack that just keeps selling, and winning award after award. It's just been recognized for sales of over 5 million. Not bad for an album of music that does not get played on radio. The album and its songs captured four different Grammys in 2002.

 |
2) New Favorite - Alison Krauss + Union Station
Alison Krauss + Union Station took two Grammys with this album. One for Bluegrass album, and the other for Song of the Year for "The Lucky One."

Little Sparrow is Dolly's second highly acclaimed bluegrass album and she received the Female Vocalist Grammy Award for the song "Shine." This is yet another example of Dolly's natural and diverse talent. She has gone back to her roots to record her last albums and they are Pure Country Gold.
