One of the neatest features about Winamp is its skin. You can change the look of the player by downloading 'skins,' or even creating them yourself.

I've designed several skins, some of them by using my own photos and some from photos by Ron Newcomer. Please feel free to use the 'skins' to decorate your own Winamp player, but do not place the files on other sites for downloading.

Note that I've done some of the skins using a new program, and they create a file that is self-extracting into your WinAmp player, so no need to unzip. These files have the .wsz extension.

When you find the skin you want, download the file and save it to your:
winamp\skins\
directory, which is usually located at:
C:\Program Files\winamp\skins.

When you unzip the file, it will be in its own folder. If you're using a newer version of Winamp (v. 2.04 or higher) you won't even need to unzip the skin. Just place the zipped file in your skin directory.

To change skins, open Winamp, then press Alt + S. A window will open where you can select from all the skins you have placed in your skin directory. Select the skin you wish to use and press "OK" to accept the skin you've selected.

NOTE: The two Country skins have a red tinge on the top half in the screenshot. When you have them in use, they do not look like that. They are solid white.
