In the Vocal Event of the Year category, we have Cowboy Troy with Big & Rich for "I Play Chicken With The Train," Tim and Faith with "Like We Never Loved At All," Brad and Dolly with "When I Get Where I'm Going," and Jennifer Nettles with Bon Jovi for "Who Says You Can't Go Home?"
Who do I want to win? I love Brad & Dolly's touching song, and would love to see them take this.
Who will win? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Faith & Tim. This is their only nomination this year, and I think maybe the voters will want to give them something. This was an awesome performance, and deserving of the win.
In the Song of the Year category, we have Sugarland's "Baby Girl," Brooks & Dunn's "Believe," Carrie Underwood's "Jesus Take The Wheel," Rascal Flatts' "Skin (Sarabeth)," and Brad and Dolly's "When I Get Where I'm Going."
Who do I want to win? While I love Brad & Dolly's song, "Baby Girl" was such an important song to Sugarland. It took forever to get up into the Top 5, and it just really touched a lot of people's hearts, including mine. I gotta go with "Baby Girl."
Who will win? I think that Brad & Dolly will take the award.
For Single of the Year, we have Brad Paisley's "Alcohol," Sugarland's "Baby Girl," Gary Allan's "Best I Ever Had," and Carrie Underwood's "Jesus Take the Wheel."
Who do I want to win? I think with it's multiple-week No. 1, "Jesus Take the Wheel" deserves the win.
Who will win? Again, "Jesus Takes the Wheel."
For Album of the Year, the nominees are Feels Like Today from Rascal Flatts, There's More Where That Came From, from Lee Ann Womack, Time Well Wasted from Brad Paisley, Tough All Over from Gary Allan, and Twice the Speed of Life from Sugarland.
Who do I want to win? Sugarland has worked so hard and they've really done well since the release of their album. I'd like to see Twice the Speed of Life take this award.
Who will win? I think it's going to be close, between Rascal Flatts' Feels Like Today, and Sugarland's Twice the Speed of Life. I think Rascal Flatts may squeak past and take this award.
For Video of the Year, the nominees are "As Good As I Once Was," from Toby Keith, "Believe" from Brooks & Dunn, "I May Hate Myself in the Morning" from Lee Ann Womack, "Kerosene" from Miranda Lambert, and "When I Get Where I'm Going" from Brad and Dolly.
Who do I want to win? While "Believe" was a very touching video, "When I Get Where I'm Going" never fails to bring a tear to my eye. Very beautifully done. I'd love to see Brad & Dolly get the award here.
Who will win? I think Brad and Dolly will indeed take home this award.
Be sure to watch on CBS, May 23rd, 8:00 pm ET/PT, and see how I did with my predictions.
