ACM New Faces Show 2004

Buddy Jewell - ACM New Faces Show

Buddy Jewell - ACM New Faces Show - 05/25/04

Buddy was next, and opened his set with "Help Pour Out The Rain (Lacey's Song)." Buddy thanked everyone that called in and requested his song. His second song was "Sweet Southern Comfort," and the third was his next single, "One Step at a Time." He told everyone to take out their hymnals and sing along.

Cledus came out again to fill in the time while the band set up the stage for Dierks Bentley.

Dierks came out singing "I Bought The Shoes." He then dedicated the next song to everyone's least favorite boyfriend or girlfriend, and sang his current single, "How Am I Doin'." He explained how his first name was actually a last name of one of his relatives, and that he's proud of his name, both first and last, which lead into "My Last Name." His final song was "What Was I Thinkin'" which he started by saying how it was so good to see so many little white tank tops in the audience.

Cledus came out one final time before Pat Green's set. He told us about being on the golf course recently with Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry, comparing that to Snoop Dog at a George Strait concert.

Pat Green was the final act of the evening, and I'm pretty unfamiliar with all but his last few songs, so I'm not sure of the first song he sang. Something about Texas. ;) He said he was happy to have received his first gold record, and thanked everyone that bought it. The next song was "Wrapped." Then, he sang a song I did recognize; "Carry On." His final song of the night was "Wave on Wave."

I really enjoyed seeing all these guys perform, but really thought they could have all done 4 songs a piece. The show was supposed to run from 7:30 - 9:30 pm, but ended about 9:10, and Josh, Jimmy and Buddy could have done one song a piece in the extra 20 minutes.
