Brad Paisley
Brad Paisley received his first guitar when he was eight years old. Two years later, he was performing publically with it. When he played on the Saturday Night Jamboree in Wheeling, West Virginia, he was on his way. He was invited to join the show full-time, and went on to open for such notables as Little Jimmy Dickens, Roy Clark, and The Judds. He attended Belmont University and served an internship with ASCAP, performing on demos until he signed his own recording contract and released his debut, Who Needs Pictures?, in 1999.
Paisley followed the success of his first disc with Part Two in 2001, continuing to gain popularity and critical acclaim as a traditionalist who could and did make waves commercially. Paisley is a regular member of the Grand Old Opry, has recorded several duets with Chely Wright, and married actress Kimberly Williams. He released his third disc, Mud on the Tires, in 2003, which featured the stunning duet with Alison Krauss, "Whiskey Lullaby." But he always shows his humorous side, as in his videos with friend Little Jimmy Dickens. He took on the technological age by putting together a downloadable "Director's Commentary" for his fourth disc, 2005's Time Well Wasted.
