Back to the show, Katie talks to Olivia Newton-John and Cliff Richard. Cliff mentioned that he knows Katie's dad, who is a songwriter. Olivia has a new album out for breast cancer, called Stronger Than Before. Olivia will present tonight. Olivia's favorite country singers are Keith Urban, while Cliff says he likes Shania Twain.
Lance is talking to the reigning Miss America, Deidre Downs. She talks about being Miss America and her charity, which benefits pediatric cancer, and she travels a lot. They talk about CMT is going to be the new home for the Miss America show.
Another CMT Poll. This one is for Album of the Year. Keith Urban is ahead with 42% of the vote.
Lance talks to Billy Joel, who is presenting the Entertainer of the Year Award with Shania. Lance says he knows that Billy does a lot of duets, and he's been trying to hook them up for a duet. Billy says he likes country music, but doesn't get to hear much of it as New York doesn't have a country music station. He's looking forward to meeting Dolly Parton, and thank her for covering his song so well. He's also looking forward to seeing Garth, and Tony Brown.
Katie talks to Shannon Brown, who's wearing a designer dress by Monique Lhullier. The dress is a loaner, and she's not looking forward to having to give it back. Her new single and video is "Corn Fed," which is also the name of the new album, coming out early in January or February of next year. Katie asked her if Shaun Silva would be directing the video, which Shannon said he would be. Katie then said to the audience, in case they didn't know that Shaun is Shannon's husband.
Lance talks to Lee Ann Womack, all in black. He asks her about what she thought when she was reading off the nominations, and found out she had tied with Brad Paisley with six. Lee Ann playfully remarked, "I thought,Oh Keith Urban's hot." Lance asked her which of the CMA Event nominations she'd rather win with. She said she won with Willie already before, so she'd like to win with George Strait.
